Steven currently serves as senior pastor at First Baptist Church in Cambridge Springs, PA. He has a passion for shepherding God's people and reaching those from the next generation with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Steven also has a passion for reaching families and working to build strong marriages within the church. Steven believes the pastor's primary responsibly in discipling those God entrusts to them, is the opportunity they have to teach and preach. For that reason, Steven has spent a great deal of his early ministry learning about its practice and teaching other ministry leaders. Prior to moving to PA, Steven served as youth and college pastor at Central Baptist Church in Gaffney, SC.
Steven and his wife, Brittany, have been married since 2008. Together they have 3 children; Lacey, Braylin, and Elisha.
Steven earned his Bachelor of Arts in Human Resource Management from Ashford University in 2014, his MBA in Organizational Leadership from Ashford in 2016, and his Master of Divinity in Biblical Studies from Liberty University Baptist Theological Seminary in 2019. Steven also holds a Doctor of Ministry degree in Expository Preaching from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, North Carolina.
Steven’s life verse is Acts 20:24, “But I consider my life of no value to myself; my purpose is to finish my course and the ministry I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of God’s grace.”
